Unrolled
Arthereistanbul — Istanbul, Turkey
Jay and her daughter Bo traveled through Istanbul, Antalya, Pamukkale, and Cappadocia from late July through September. Interactive installation inviting visitors to unroll continuous painting scrolls using cranks and bars, revealing different sections of the work through physical engagement. Presented in both indoor gallery and outdoor courtyard settings, the pieces explored the intricate interplay of time, memory, and place.
A nomadic artist born in Seoul — the work captures the intricate interplay of time, memory, and place through scrolls that physically unfold narratives of travel and home.
