Someone's ( ) Stories

SamseyoungSeoul, South Korea

Landscapes centered on wishes — visitors constructed stone towers in a meditative practice. Created with natural pigments, natural binding medium, dirt and rocks of ceramics, and natural linen and cotton canvases. Pigments sourced from Australia, Brazil, Madagascar, Peru, Japan, France, India, and Switzerland. Handmade papers from Karnataka (South India) and Veracruz (Mexico). To live more like ourselves, more naturally, and freely.

I paint landscapes centered on wishes. Visitors build stone towers — a meditative, participatory act of making a wish. The pigments come from eight countries; the papers are handmade in Karnataka and Veracruz. I want to live more like ourselves, more naturally, and freely.
